Stilfs/Stelvio, 2018

Der Einstieg

The exhibition space is an independent shell into the existing building – a space within space. It penetrates the existing façade on three points and becomes visible and accessible from the outside. On the inside the black shell opens towards a natural cave. The walls are perforated by small vitrines that light the dark space. The exhibits and images presented in them are telling how the extraction of copper had led to the development of settlements in the region. History becomes unveiled.
